Cook From Frozen Chicken
Turn oven on at 375. Preheating per se is not important. Take out of the freezer and unwrap
- 1 PC Butter-Infused Frozen Chicken (1.6 kg)
Rub with oil, blast with salt & pepper, put in big glass pan with its legs and wings sticking up and into the oven for
1 hour at 375
Meanwhile, wash, peel and cut in half longways
- 1 lb carrots (4 or 5, depending on how big)
- 4 onions
- 4 whole sprigs of thyme
Then place them all in a big bowl with some oil, salt & pepper. When the hour is up, make a bed of them under the chicken and stick a meat probe kind of generally into the cavity of the bird. Then back into the oven for
1 hour at 375
While the bird is cooking for its second hour, wash and peel
- enough potatoes for how many people you have
- 4 or so cloves of garlic
and put them in the previously used bowl to soak up some goodness. When the second hour is up, arrange the potatoes (cut in half if they are monsters) around the chicken. Then back in the oven for
Last hour at 375
Meat probe should be reassuring, maybe 165 or 180. Potatoes should be done. Take everything out to a serving plate and cover with foil. Then deglaze the pan with white wine, chicken stock, whatever, and make gravy.
